"The AC power adapter type cannot be determined..."

When I boot up my I-6000, I get the following message: "The AC power adapter type cannot be determined. This will prevent optimal performance." I have been having a problem recently with my battery not charging properly, and not this message has popped up recently. Is it a problem with my battery, my adapter, or something internal? Edit: I just checked the power cord and it is separating and fraying a little where it inserts into the brick. Could this be my problem?

It could be, and you should not use the adapter until you get it replaced.

Also possible is that the frayed cord has caused arcing, damaging the charge circuitry on the system board.

I have re-booted several times and the past few it hasn't given me the error. I plan on replacing the cord, but could it be possible that it's a board issue?

There's a very high probability it is the system board. Try another adapter - if it works OK, it's not a mainboard problem. If it does not, it is.

How can I isolate this problem? I would like to be 100% sure it's not a motherboard issue.
