Sticky Keyboard

Yah ive had my laptop fer quite a while now and they keys on the laptop are quite sticky. The laptop's keyboard doesnt function quite the way it should. When you press the keys it goes down but takes a little bit of time to come back up the keys are just sticky....and it bugs the out of me! Anybody know any ways to clean the keyboard so it works as close to new as humanly possible?

Good luck - replace the keyboard; by the time you invest hours trying to dismantle and clean it, it'll wind up cheaper to replace it.

Lol yah thats true thanx dudes! I told dell it was sticky and the dude was like take it off and put it back on so i did and he said that should have fixed it but it didnt so they just shipped me out a new one!

Actually I just recently spilt grape gatorade on my laptop keboard, so I slowly popped off the keys, starting from the top right corner of the key, and used rubbing alcohol and q-tips to scrub off the stickiness. Good as NEW! Just be careful with the keys and intially pulling them off, then when putting them back on, press down on every corner until you hear a miniture snap sound that tells you it has locked onto the keyboard. Good Luck! (Better to try first before spending more money)
