Shortcut key combination for switching off power off internal laptop monitor
I have read somewere that there is a shortcut key combination for switching off power off internal monitor used by Dell technicians.
Is that true ? , I would like to now that combination for off and on switching.

Hi,
The key combination is FN + F8. You will need to hold down FN, and press F8 a couple of times, it will switch between lcd and monitor, or lcd only, or monitor only.

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. If your referring to switching between an external monitor and your lcd, then its FN + F8.
Is that what you were referring to?

I dont think so.
I have an external USB graphics card with a monitor attached to it in extend main screen mode.
Quite often I dont need the main screen and would like just ot switch of the power of the illumination of the main screen. Nothing else should be changed.
Then I should be able to switch it on again with a key combination.
Something like turn off LCD screen but only for the internal one.
