Screen brightness wont go down?

Hello I have a Inspiron 15 5000 series and recently I have noticed that when ever I try to make the brightness going down using the fn brightness keys its does nothing. Than I tried going in the control panel screen settings and the option for brightness wont even come up.. is it a driver issue or anything like that because I updated the Intel HD graphics drive and it says up to date but its still not doing anything better
