Pro2x Docking Station

the Pro2x docking station was working fine with my two monitors.  Undocked the Precision M6800 and took it to CA for a conference.  During that time I connected to a projected to give a presentation.  Upon my return I docked the laptop and now the second monitor is no longer detected.  When I use the second monitor in monitor one port it works, when monitor one is put in port 2 it doesn't work.

Yes, the docking station may have gone bad as Dell support insists, I'm out of warranty.  If I need a new station fine, but I'm concerned that a setting got changed in the BIOS or something and so a new station won't help. I've been here once before for the same exact reason.  Only was under warranty so they were able to tell me how to fix it.

Check the Display Settings interface where you would go to change resolution and such. Is the second external display detected and simply set to disabled? If so, you should be able to enable it there, though you may first have to disable the built-in panel. I can’t remember how many simultaneous displays that model supports.

Yes I did and the second monitor was not detected.  When I used the E-Port's VGA output to the second monitor it came on line and of course is detectable in the display configuration screen.  So, I have a work around for my needs.  I tried different cables in port II and that didn't help.  Just wish there was a diagnostic I could run to confirm it really is dead.

Thank you for your input.
