Power on "ac adapter does not work"

data information:
-inspiron 9400 dual processor t2500 2gh and fully extras options.
-purchaser order 11/07/2006 garanty 0 days left (15 months old)
 
-no way of function with ac adapter without battery.
what may be the root cause of problem?.
-battery?, ac adapter (ac adapter 19v/12v tested (without load) ok?)
-motherboard?
-motheboar connector? (poor o loose terminal open or failure contact connection).
when a press the power on buttom  led battery amber flash but not signal of power.
this mean that i have to change the motherboard, power supplier and battery?.
motherboard has not shortcircuit or burn battery protection?
-someone can help me and let know about the price to be repaired or there´s not solutuion or  don´t worthwhile.

I'm not sure I completely understand the troubleshooting steps you have taken, but have you tried swapping out the power adapter for the system?

If a known good adapter does not work, I think you are looking at a motherboard replacement.

that´s mean to buy a new pc and set dell inspiron 9400 into the trash room. (1800€ / 15 months use). to avoid family headache.
dell should recognize ingeneering defective parts construction like a very cheap motherboard plug ac connector. the type connector is not the right one and also try to change supplier connector (with amp connectors not problem).
