Pen/Stylus that actually works with a touchscreen

Does anyone know if there is a pen/stylus that works with a Dell XPS with a touchscreen monitor?

I purchased this laptop thinking it would be great to work with Windows 8. Alas I ask Dell about this on the phone, of course I had someone from orders and she seemed to think the Stylus would work. Wrong.

Problem, my fingers are just a bit too large t write on this, but not in a good way. I had thought the Stylus would do the trick.

I really want to have something that will allow me to use the Windows Journal on 8, but as yet nothing I get seems to work.

The other sad thing, I bought a Dell ST2220T for the same reason on my desktop, but if there is nothing for this laptop, then that will be useless to me when I get my new SSD for the desktop.

Please, can someone turn me in the right direction?

Not knowing the exact type of (capacitive, resistive, optical) touch screen would make this difficult, but a quick search reveals this is probably a capacitive touch screen so you would need a capacitive stylus.. such as would be found here.  I take no responsibility for the suitability for your usage or device given I can't be sure of the type of screen you're talking about :)
