m6600 nvidia 680m 2gb graphics card upgrade

I'm experimenting with a m6600 precision workstation laptop. I replaced the quadro k4000 graphics card with an nvidia 680m. However the bios still does not fully recognize the new graphicscard as it displayed as "unknown card". I tried a bios upgrade A09, A14 and A15, but those did not make any difference. I tried to force a nvidia 680m driver in windows 10 and windows 7 with driver signed disabled, but could not force it to install the drivers. This might be because i used a incorrect version (nvidia 352.84 for windows 10 and 307.17 for windows 7).

I'm out of ideas does someone have a suggestion?
