Keyboard letters/numbers

I had to replace my keyboard now four times since I received my laptop. The problem is that the letters and numbers are being rubbed? of every time after 3-6 months of use (I am due for a new one again!).

Fortunate I got an extended warranty that will expire next year, so I can get new keyboards until then I guess. I think it is a flaw in the manufacture of this keyboard type as previously used computer keyboards never had this problem.

I have raised this issue with Dell support people with no reply at all. And hope that through this forum I may get a lasting solution.

vanbeekg,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

This topic has already been covered.  Dell will replace the entire keyboard if the system is still under warranty.  If it is not, I recommend looking at the following posts:

Thanks to all, I have read through all the posts here. I have come to the best solution for myself. I am going to my Office Max store today and buying 1/4" white sans Serif decals for my keyboard.  I am way out of warrenty.  I too feel Dell should give us decals to replace the wearing letters either with our new computers or able to buy later.
