Inspiron 9100 keyboard random characters

My 9100 is typing random characters when I push a key and the computer is not on a flat surface. Example: I push the "S" key and "FB20" appears. When the computer is on a flat, level surface this doesn't happen. Even though it appears to be a keyboard malfunction, I did a full virus scan, spyware scan and removed any nonessential programs.

Please help--I'm a student and rarely do any work on a flat level desk!

That sounds neat...

Only thing I can suggest is going into Control Panel > Regional and Language Options and making sure everything is set to your preferred language (I'm guessing English.) If I remember correctly, FB20 is a special Unicode character used in Hebrew, or something like that.
