Hi qasimidl,

Welcome to the Community,

Every Dell laptop battery has a specific battery PPID (Dell Part Piece Identification) printed on it as shown below :

You may post that five digit part number on your system battery as highlighted above and I will check and confirm if that battery is for your system.

Thank You

Yes. It is a Dell battery.
Part Number: PW772
Description: Simplo Technology, 56 Work Hour, 6 cell battery

All users,

Look at the 20 digit serial number on the Dell label:
KR0PW772719693MPBVBP

The Dell part number is always the one bolded above: PW772

Simply search on google like this: dell part PW772

Hi qasimidl,

From the number you posted "cn-0GK2X6-75501" GK2X6 can be used as part number.

Going by the functional description of part number GK2X6 it shows your system has 6 Cell Dell battery.

Thank You

Hi Mahesh,

As ejn63 informed your system does have a original Dell battery.

The DP/N 0GK2X6 (Dell Part  number) you have posted  can be used to verify the functional description of the part and it shows your system has 6 Cell Dell battery.

Thank You

Hi Amir,

The battery you have on your system is Dell original battery and is a 4 Cell battery. The backup of 1.45 hours seems to be pretty good from a 4 Cell battery standards. You may check the battery health meter for more information on battery. You may try the following steps below to check the Battery Health Meter :

  • Right click on the battery icon on the taskbar
  • Choose ‘Dell Health Meter’
  • Click on ‘Battery Health’ tab
  • Examine the information shown in the window

If you are not able to find the battery health meter, you may install the Dell quickset application from Here

Hope this helps. Please reply if you have any further questions.

Hello

I have bought DELL Inspiron 15R N5521 i7 yesterday. Its battery timing is merely 1.45 hours

My battery num is KR-0T1G4M-75501-2C4-C17S-A00

Can you please tell wheather its dell original battery or some other battery.

My second question is: Is battery backup of 1.45hours is common or its less for i7?

Thanks and Best Regards

Amir

Hi Amirshafiq,

The battery you are using is a Dell original 6 Cell Li-ion battery. The AC adapter you have shared is also Dell original 90W AC Adapter.

Inspiron 5521 has Aluminum LCD top cover and palm-rest with anodize finish and that might be the reason you are feeling a little current when connecting a charger. Please ensure that the AC adapter is connected to an Earthed power plug. If the issue persists, you may perform a BIOS update from Here.

Note: Make sure the ac adapter is connected and the battery is charged 10% or above to update the BIOS. Also, disconnect all the external peripherals before updating the BIOS. All the programs should be closed and documents saved.

Hope this helps. Please reply with the findings.
