flashing orange light on desktop
I have 4 green lights on the left desktop of my 3 year old 1530 inspiron. Occasionally, the 3rd light will turn to orange and start flashing. I have to disconnect the computer to get it to stop. It even does this even when turned off. I don't know what the light is for. Is it a battery light??

Yes, it is. Remove the battery - if the flashing stops, the battery is faulty - replace it with a new one.
