daguilarh,

Go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag number. Under security, you should see something like...

<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed / replaced from this post by Dell>

This is the DigitalPersona Software. This was posted in another thread...

Thank you for contacting DigitalPersona. There will be no update releases for DigitalPersona Personal in the future. There will be no updates for Firefox 4 nor Internet Explorer 9. IF they work they work, if they do not work with DPPersonal, then you will have to decide to either keep DPPersonal and forgo Firefox 4 or IE 9, or vice versa. DigitalPersona is leaving the consumer market and is focusing on business applications. In fact, DigitalPersona Personal will not longer be supported after Mid-April of this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. Sincerely, Tech Team

Exists an add-on called "Fingerfox (SE)", the latest version and 'the 2.20.2. This Add-on in conjunction with "DigitalPersona Personal" solves the problem. In firefox you must disable "DigitalPersona Extension" (I had version 5.0.0.3790 that worked with Firefox 3.6 but not with 4). Install "Fingerfox (SE)". When you go on a site where and 'have a login, click on the icon at the bottom right, it will open' the pop-up "Fingerfox (SE)". At this point, DO NOT FILL THE CREDENTIALS IN POPUP, but rubbing your finger to your fingerprint, it will open 'utility DigitalPersona Personal. Enter the credentials in Personal and DigitalPersona will 'to deal with this transfer credential to "Fingerfox (SE)".

Hi,

I resolved this issue with installind of this software from sensor manufacturer:

www.validityinc.com/post.aspx

You need also to have installed in advance Validity sensor drivers from Dell web portal.

I hope it will help you :)
