Hi Jamjudy,

Thanks for contacting us and bringing your concerns to our attention

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Have you made any software or hardware changes?

Check if the Internet works in Safemode with networking. Restart the computer and tap F8 at Dell logo and select Safemode with networking.

You may try  a system restore or a Factory reset:

System restore: http://dell.to/1enfXaE

Factory reset: http://dell.to/1fciIi5

Note: backup data before following the above process.

Let me know the status.

You are on the internet now since you are posting on this message board.

Not sure why you cannot download drivers to install?

Tried it all ... all night last night tried everything. they say I should contact the manufacturer. Windows won’t even start windows now. It's worse than before. At least I could work on my Office programs but now nothing, nada caput. Tried the recovery program -was willing to lose all my files if I could get the computer to work. Well yes all my files are gone and the computer doesn't work at all. :( sad sad day.

This is my first Dell computer. Probably my last.

Hi Jamjudy,

Thank you for the service tag. Did you run diagnostics on the computer?

Does the computer boot into Safemode?

Restart the computer and tap F8 at Dell logo and select Safemode with networking.

Kindly run diagnostics to isolate the hardware.

Post back the results.

What is a beep code? The computer is worse than when I started now I can't even log on to windows. It says contact you people. But I did contact you now it's worse than ever. Should I just junk it and wrte it off as an expensive learning experience? Very frustrating.

Hi Jamjudy,

We truly regret the inconvenience caused. We are here to assist you with the issue.

Ideally, if there is a hardware failure, computers emit a series of beeps that help in isolating the point of failure. Hence, I asked for the beep code.

You have mentioned seeing a message that suggests you to contact the computer manufacturer, may I know what is the exact error message that appears on the screen?

This can help us in understanding the nature of the issue.

Also, please let me know what exactly happens after you switch on the computer. Is it stuck on the Dell logo screen? Does it lead to a blue screen with an error message after the Dell logo screen?

2. Your computer is unable to start

3. Start up repair cannot repair  this computer automatically send information about this problem

4. If you have recently attached a device to this computer such as a camera or portable music player, remove it and restart your computer(none attached). If you continue to see this message contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
