Changing the processor on a laptop
Hello,
I want to change my processor on my laptop running the following specs:
Intel® Pentium® CPU N3710 @ 1.60ghz |
8gb |
64 bit Operating System x63 based processor |
to a faster processor. Is this possible to do and will it invalidate the warranty on the laptop ? estimated costs would be useful too.
thanks,
Habib.

It will void the warranty, yes. It will only be possible if your system came with the option of a faster CPU - and then, you'll need to swap out the entire system board (the CPU is permanently soldered to the board and cannot be replaced).
Figure on about $300 for a board+CPU depending on model, plus labor.
