can I swap hard drives between two dells?

Hi folks

I have a Dell Inspiron 3520 that was dropped and now reboots itself randomly.

I have a Dell 1545 that has two keys missing and a battery that no longer charges.  The hard drive however it still working well.

Can I take the drive from the 1545 and put it in the 3520?

If yes, how / is there a good step by step site detailing how?
