Inspiron 7435 right hinge failure

Inspiron 14 7435 2-in-1

Inspiron 14 7435 2-in-1

So, this has no end. My son’s laptop (purchased in dec 2023 and still within warranty), yesterday had its right-hand hinge fail when he was opening the laptop. It failed internally, the anchor points on the LCD cover just came away. the hinge itself is fine and has all the screws still attached, along with the plastic anchor points from the cover. the laptop is a 2 in 1 so opening the screen too far isn’t possible and I have been reading posts on here, and this is an extremely common issue. there is even a pinned post about what to do if in the USA with this failure. and for like me, in the UK, to message support. So, I did, and I have attached images of how that conversation went. I assume the LCD cracking is even more common as the Senior agent said, cause of the damage to the LCD it wouldn’t be covered. yet luckily for me the LCD isn’t damaged at all. I guess the lcd failing is even more common, so that is used to squirm out of Warranty claims without even checking. notice also how the first agent said it wasn’t misaligned. then the senior agent said it was misaligned? Dell, there is an obvious issue here and even when it’s clear as day this time there was just a failure why do you squirm your way out of a valid warranty claim?
