Update = After completing troubleshooting, a DELL-Cares agent setup service. Note, there is currently a delay due to a backlog of the LCD assembly from the manufacturer.

Hi there, I have also faced similar issues with my laptop, my problem was with the increased amount of screen bleeding. The support system did nothing within warranty as well. Thank you.

Hi, I too faced the same problem, the poor hinges had almost damaged my scree. I am not able to open my laptop, it just cracks the screen panel if i try to open. Pathetic build. Didn't expect this from Dell.

My hinge broke after 4 months. I also had issues with the trackpad in 2 months and microphone stopped working within a month. Replacing all of them was a hassle. Dell has gone wrong with this model

I have the same unpleasant experience with the my Inspiron 3511 and also with the tech support. I purchased the laptop on Nov 26th and before Christmas, one of the hinges was broken or loose preventing me opening the laptop because it was damaging the LCD pushing it out of its bezel. I shared my experience with Dell Social media after sales team and they were quick to open a new service request for me after i sent them some pictures and videos showing the damage. The laptop is shipped to Dell Depot for repairs on Dec 27th. and since then I have been waiting patiently. I keep getting regular updates saying the repair is in progress, parts were back ordered etc. and finally they said it is on billable hold meaning I need to pay something because it is not covered by warranty. When i go to service details I see it was diagnosed as not covered by warranty on January 13th. However, noone from Dell Depot team has reached out to me to let me know about this as the Social Media support group kept telling me: "No no it is in progress. It is not on billable hold". Finally they told me the same thing, it is on billable hold today. I do not understand how it is not covered by warranty when simple opening and closing of the lid (normal use of the laptop) can break these hinges Dell installed in the laptop in less than a month! I will be applying to Better Business Bureau if Dell can't figure out how to fix this and send my laptop back fixed ASAP.

I am facing the same issue. I purchased my laptop Dell Inspiron 15 3511 in Dec 2021. Two months now and I am not able to open the laptop as the hinges are acting weird and the screen frame is coming off because of this issue. Please Dell look into this at the earliest.

The worse thing is they don't have any parts.

We’re sorry, we don’t have one or more parts needed for your service. We will contact you to schedule the service once the parts are available.

So whenever they get the parts they get the parts.
