XPS 8960, Intel LPC/eSPI Controller driver error

Hi. I recently bought an XPS 8960 and while generally very happy with it, I did a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro on a Samsung 980 Pro today and noticed one of the system device drivers won't start. It's one of two instances of the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller:

It's always annoying having an alert symbol in device manager and despite spending a good hour or more Googling the device ID, driver, etc, I'm none the wiser and very curious to know what is causing this. Specs:

XPS 8960
i7-14700
32GB 5600 MT/s RAM
RX 6600 XT GPU
Windows 11 Pro

Machine is brand new and has only been used for a week or two. Any suggestions appreciated.

Can we assume you bought the Samsung 980 Pro SSD to replace the Dell OEM SSD? Or are there now two SSDs with Win 11 on them installed?

Did you install the Intel Chipset when you did the clean Win 11 install on the Samsung SSD?

How is BIOS set, RAID or AHCI (don't change the setting!). Samsung SSDs don't work nicely when BIOS is set to RAID.

@RoHe You assume correctly, yes. In fact the 980 Pro (Windows) is in the primary M.2 slot and a WD Black SN 770 is in the secondary slot with a totally different operating system on it.

I so far allowed Windows to install all the drivers (aside from the discreet GPU driver, which I installed manually). I was tempted to install drivers from the Dell website but it was slightly unclear to me which specific driver package related to this specific device.

BIOS is set to AHCI.

Thanks so much for the link to the chipset driver. I will try that and see how it works out.

EDIT: Installed that package and it made no difference, unfortunately.

Solved. Turned out to be caused by an errant SSDT file. I could have sworn up and down I had bypassed the bootloader when troubleshooting this, but it seems not. My apologies.
