Hinge pulling out, cracking noise
I purchased my laptop in Feb 22 and barely use it! Have never flipped the screen. Last night (July 2024) I heard a cracking noise when I opened it. Right hinge is pulling out and there is space at the bottom where I can see a screw. Also now have colors on the screen in the bottom right. Of course the laptop is out of warranty! Just 2 1/2 years in! Can't believe the poor quality! I chose Dell because it's supposed to be reliable! Guess I'll just leave the screen open as I don't carry my laptop anywhere. Just use it at home. Would really like to get it fixed but don't know how or where it can be done for a reasonable price! Any suggestions?

Your best bet is likely a good local independent computer shop with an hourly labor charge rather than one of the big chains or Dell that charges by the job. You can also have parts-people.com do the work - they charge a flat fee of $100 for repairs plus parts.
