Displayport to usb-c adapter limits the monitor's hz rate?

Hello, to put it in context, I have a Dell G15 notebook with an RTX 3050 and an AOC Hero 144hz monitor. My notebook doesn't have a Display port, just USB-C, so I went there and bought one
KIT -DELL USB-C(M) TO DP ADAPTER. I did the tests here with the testufo website and it shows that it is at 144hz, but I have this doubt as to whether the test is actually wrong and in fact it was limited to 60hz because of the adapter. Unfortunately I don't have 2 monitors here to do a real test, one with a real cable and the other with an adapter to know if it's really limiting. Could anyone tell me if you've already done a test and found out if it was really limited, it would help me a lot...
