dell 7706 power light on for 1 second and only fully boots with battery unplugged. Laptop hard powers off while booting battery installed

This morning I tried to turn on the laptop and still had the error ac adapter cannot be determined.  Used to boot and charge even with this warning.  Well this morning it would only boot almost to sign on screen then crash immediate turn off.  Plugging ac adapter in and jack light turns on for 1 second then turns off.  I can power laptop on and use it with battery unplugged.  Bios said battery health was excellent but at zero percent charge.  charger has been replaced with another 90 watt on ebay and this lasted a good while then started not charging so I ordered a 130 watt one and charging resumed.  Battery ordered off ebay and lasted 3ish months as far as I know its still good.
