Dell Inspiron Optiplex 24 pin to 8 pin adapter

This may be an old topic, but there is some misinformation on adapter vendor website.
24 to 8 pin adapter for 3020/3040 from CoMeap on Amazon and Newegg has some typo or misinformation in product description saying it is “not compatible with 3650 etc.”

Per Dell -Chris M

Inspiron 3650 and Optiplex 3040 MT share multiple identical 240w psu DP/N.

therefore generic 24 to 8 pin adapter is universally compatible with Optiplex 3020/3040/ Inspiron 3650, and Optiplex 7020/9020/5040/7040 / Inspiron 3250, 3650, 3670, 3671.

more typo exposed below

”Compatible with Dell Optiplex 3020/3040/3046/5040/7020/7040/7060/9020”

incorrect on one model. 7060 has 6 pin.

“Not compatible with Dell Inspiron series such as: 3653 3650 3655 3250 3252 3268 3660 3667 3668 3670.”

Inspiron 3250, 3650, 3670, 3671 have 8 pin, compatible with adapter

Inspiron 3268, 3668 have 6 pin, not 8 pin

Inspiron 3655 uses 19.5V adapter power supply

Vostro 3653, 3670, 3671 have 8 pin, compatible with adapter

Vostro 3667, 3668, 3669, 3681 have 6 pin, not 8 pin

Vostro 3252 uses 19.5V adapter

I know the Moddiy Adapter works because I use it.

No Idea about comeap.

3650 3670 9020 T1700 MT can also use the optional 365W power supply.
