Dell G5000 keeps crashing

Dell G5 5000

Dell G5 5000

My DELL G5000 keeps crashing, specifically during games e.g. FIFA23.

I already reinstalled the OS and upgraded/downgraded drivers for video, network etc. but it keeps crashing. The PC is out of support for about 1 year now but I would like to know if there is a known issue with G5000 before I turn to extend the supportplan. Any guidances? Could the NVM M.2 be faulty?

Nothing in your post to help in troubleshooting.

How much memory do you have?  I would recommend at least 8 GB and on a gaming system even 16GB, and have two memory modules to allow for dual channel operation.

F12 at power on will access a menu and one option is diagnostics.  Run the full hardware diagnostics to see if anything shows up.  If nothing shows up, I would go back to memory and possibly CPU overheating.

It's a 16GB G5000 configuration which did not show any issues until recently. I started troubleshooting by eliminating all the apps that were installed recently until a full recovery image was installed. I will try the Diagnostics and will report out if there is anything to share. At this time I was hoping maybe similar experiences are seen within the community, maybe a recent W10/W11 patch is causing the issue. I'll try to grab some more evidence.

I ran the diagnostic tool and this is what shows up. I ran it twice, second time it ran successfully. Any thoughts?

If it only crashes during a specific game suspect includes psu inadequate supply of power to gpu or gpu getting defective.  to r/o defective gpu run free user benchmark to see if it is falling behind curve.  Like fireberd said memory failure can cause general system instability, but would not be limited to gaming only.
Use HWmonitor to check cpu temp although I doubt it overheated if there is no loud cpu fan reported.  I would suggest check gpu temp instead in case it is getting too hot.

Any feedback to the screenshot that I posted? It indicates an issue with the M.2 SSD correct? I can try fro replace it.

If you suspect a SSD or HDD error ... read the drive's SMART-status with either PassMark's free utility or Crystal Disk-Info.

As far as the crashing, check the Windows Reliability History report.

Re: It indicates an issue with the M.2 SSD correct

it says on an old test hdd had issue.  But like fireberd said the most recent test was fine.  If you have another m.2 ssd it does not hurt to replace the current one temporarily for a test.  If game still crashes it would prove ssd is not guilty.

Those are older errors, most likely from the "POST" (Power On Self Tests).

The current 12/01 test passed.

I'm going from memory but I believe there is an option for more in depth tests.

@redxps630 suggestion about the graphics may be a good start.

Crystaldisk monitor shows SSD temp triggers warning at 60 degrees and goes up to 65 degrees before the freeze kicks in. Coincidence?

I found this thread [SOLVED] - SSD Temperature soaring above 60 degree celcius ! How Do I solve this issue ? | Tom's Hardware Forum (tomshardware.com) and applied the solution DriverEasy (free version) and discovered the same as the topic poster had: many outdated drivers (even though I apply Dell Update and Intel Update regularly. I ran the tool and updated all. So far the temp stays below the warning mark. Too early to say the issue is resolved but I'll keep monitoring for a while.

Not a good move.  Those driver sites many times cause more problems.  Many drivers are wrong versions and even some older drivers.  Dell uses a lot of proprietary hardware and only Dell supplied for most drivers are the correct drivers.

Sounds like you found a problem. Yes, 60c/140f is too hot (for a SSD or a HDD).

Unfortunately I did not resolve the issue. The PC is still crashing (BSOD).

Check disk fails (chkdsk /f /r running in admin mode) every time. I stil believe the Micron 2300 SSD is faulty. I am going to replace the SSD with something new.
