Image creation using Hyper-V manager - Cannot mount physical USB to make bootable
Hi,
Here is the scenario
I have set up Hyper-V in my Windows 11 and then created a new Windows 11 VM using it.
I have 1 partition in the VM and did the image creation which told me to make a USB as the first step.
It was impossible to add a physical USB to Hyper-V VM.
Does somebody know how this can work?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, Hyper-V won't see the USB key so you should create it with a physical system instead.
Check the instructions here How To: Create Image Assist USB or ISO for restoring an image. - Dell Community

I tried using a physical system and got stuck here:

Can you try on a different system or with a different USB key ? If the USB key is working properly on that system you can try with the trail version of VMware Workstation instead of Hyper-V and see if it works from there. You can download it from Download VMware Workstation Pro

In Hyper-V, directly adding a physical USB device to a virtual machine is not supported. However, you can still achieve USB functionality in a Hyper-V VM by leveraging a feature called "RemoteFX USB Redirection." This feature allows you to redirect USB devices from the host machine to the virtual machine.
To enable RemoteFX USB Redirection in Hyper-V:
Make sure you have the necessary prerequisites, including a compatible version of Windows, Remote Desktop Connection client, and RemoteFX USB redirection support.
On the host machine, open the Hyper-V Manager and select the virtual machine you want to configure.
Go to the "Settings" of the virtual machine and navigate to the "RemoteFX 3D Video Adapter" section.
