The difference between doing a DMX and doing a regular host are:

1) You need to manually create/register (including typing in the WWN) by hitting the "New" button under "Connectivity Status" screen. All default settings. You will need one record for each pairing (if one HBA sees 2 SPs you need to create 2 records selecting the "SP-Port" drop down.

2) You need to select the "Show Storage System Initiators" to see these new registered WWNs (excludes them by default)

3) Make sure you have the DMX FA and Clariion SP ports zoned to each other.

4) Add the DMX to the Storage Group with the LUNs you are migrating OR create a new Storage Group with the DMX and move the LUNs when you are ready to migrate.

The quirk is you will not see the DMX-4 WWNs show as "Logged In" until the OR session is established.

Hope this helps - it is not too bad.

In CX words, masking is the act of placing a WWN (a host) in a Storage Group, thus allowing the host to see luns in the same SG. So you have to create an host and place FA wwns in the host .. I think that Rob and Dynamox (and a lot of other guys) may explain you this step in great detail .. :-)
