IBM P550 Server Runing AIX 5.3 with Lpars

Hba recommendation should come from IBM. IBM will only support IBM re-branded HBAs in this box. I have a P 590 and when HBA fails we cant' just swap it out with off the shelf Emulex card ..it has to come from IBM.

dynamox is right on the money here (money being the key word since the IBM rebranded HBAs are no where near the cost of the off the shelf equivalent).

However, I would add that you will want to run IBMs proposed solution though the eLab Navigator to verify the EMC has tested and certified the proposed configuration. This something you should always do anyway, but I just thought I would throw out the reminder anyway.
