Bit name to flip between HP Unix and Linux

Please help me on identifying  the name of  bit to flip on frame fiber adapter between HP Unix and Linux

you mean FA flags ? Are you trying to share FAs between HPUX and Linux ?

these are the flags that are needed for Linux (RedHat)

What release of Linux are you going to be useing and what array? 

RHEL 5 and 6:

DMX: C D SC3 SPC2 PP EAN UWN VCM

VMAX: C D SC3 SPC2 PP EAN UWN ACLX

As for the Optional bit OS2007 I would recomend NOT setting it unless specified as requierd by the ESM. It will cause the array to return sense data on normal changes, this has been known to cause the linux scsi driver to treat as an fatal error when its just infomational.

Note many of theses bits are an offline change exspecaly the sc3 and spc2 bits. So I would recomend shutting the linux hosts down and setting useing  hba_flags the steps will be outlined in the SE array controles guide on powerlink.  If you need any more detailed information or assistance with setting the bits are useing SE to use hba_flags please open a support ticket with the SSG Unix support group.
