EqualLogix PS4110x RAID 10 was offline.
Vostro 270
Hello,
I need help with my server Dell EqualLogic PS4110X RAID 10. suddenly a member went offline and now we have no access to our data. The problem is that I have seen that the storage pools are already full.
I tried to adjust and delete the snapshot but it could not be erased because one member was offline. Please anyone who has an idea to help me.
What can be done to not erase the data?

Hello Karry33,
The control modules should have a few LED on them. I was asking if they all look normal or any errors lit?
Lets gather the logs to take a look:
How to gather Diagnostic Reports on Dell EqualLogic
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000123882/how-to-gather-diagnostic-reports-on-dell-equallogic
Upload under the service tag of the PS4110x and then Private Message me the tag for me to retrieve the report.
How to Share Log Files, Screenshots, and Error Messages with Dell
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000212038/how-to-share-log-files-screenshots-and-error-messages-with-dell?lang=en
Something got messed up by using a Vostro 270 service tag that made my first reply Private.
We want to continue our discussion on the Public forum so any member that could help can post.
We would use Private message to convey private information such as service tag.

I'll do this diagnostic after weekend. I have one more question. If ever the problem is the control modules after it will back to online, everything will be ok?? Or still there's possibility of data loss??

Hello,
That will depend on the reason that member is down. I.e. if you have two failed drives in a mirror pair, and can't get the last failed drive of that pair online, data loss could occur. You might have to send it out to a 3rd party for recovery.
If the drives are fine, and it's just the controller, then once it's back online the data will still be on the disks. It is possible that some unwritten data in the cache of the bad controller might be lost
Since, the member is offline, diagnostics will only show the health of the remaining member, and when they stopped communicating.
You can try using the CMC to access that member directly and see what the issue is

The array could be up, but not able to communicate over the network. I would check the blade switches and any connected switches.
