Can´t access Equallogic Group Manager / JAVA Problem

Would you clarify what the specific Java error is that you're seeing?
Also, what firmware version are you currently at?

The Firmware version I have is 7.1.5. When I want to access Group Manager through internet Browser, I always got the message to make an update, even if I already got the Version 8 from JAVA. and through the App i got this secure message (FOTOS below).

@badtoro​ I would recommend that you update the EQL firmware, if available, and then see if the issue is resolved , as the issue is that the newer Java doesn't recognize the firmware you are currently at due to age.

Even with an old JAVA you need to allow old Cipher and Algorythms, otherwise the Applet will not be executed (you will see an error).  You need to edit the C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_201\lib\security\Java.Security file and modify the jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms (remove the ANON) section.   The JAVA panel, when installed on windows, also have an "Exception Site List".

@DELL-Chris H​ Thanks for your answer... so, I would try to update the firmare through CLI Command. I´m quite novice with this, where should I put the file after download ? Is the FTP command can find the file automatically ? How it works exactely ?

Just upload it with FTP. It goes into the main folder which is the same location when you login to the command line.

Hint: In all the years the upgrading the FW for the drives has to perform on this way. Within GroupManager you only can upgrading the FW of the controller modules but not for the phys. disks.
I cant remember if the optional EQL Updatemanger performs both.

So I used a old Java 7 Version, then I got the Group Manager access ! I wanted to check the status of the Unit first. It seems one controller is not detect, does that means I need to change it ? it got power (Green LED) with ERR in Red (PHOTO) . I tried to unplugged, re-Plugged but same failure. THX

hello, yes if you already reseated the control module it is possible that it is an hardware issue. You can contact our support in order to see if they can provide you an estimate to replace it.

Hook up a serial cable with 9600/8/1/n settings and reseat the CM0.  If you remove CM check the SD Card. You have to flip the CM to see the SD.

Please take notice than someone has configured the unit to force WriteBack even when one CM is missing and can cache cant mirrored any more. So you Data is in danger if something goes wrong with the CM1 (Controller Module).

So I plug a serial to the CM with issue, I can´t log or type anything then, always loop with the same codes (photo). The SD is alright. an idea ?

This product is EOL.  There are no customer kits available.  Only customers with existing support contracts can get a part replaced.  I suspect they do not have a contract in place for this array.

Thee are two possibilities, a bad SD card, or a bad controller.   You can swap SD cards from the working controller to this one.

A replacement Type7 CM costs 22,- EUR (Twentytwo). I would this giving a try.  I'll send a PM.

From the msg above i cant tell if its a faulthy CM or SD card.
