Support Site Session Activity

Question

I've noticed that if I'm in the forums for a long period of time and then try to click Back to Support, I am taken to the support site login page. Is this expected behavior? Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi everyone,though we've tried to make it seamless, the two applications are managed separately. We've extended the timeout periods, but these oddities will still occur.When we move the Powerlink, the authentication methodology is changing, and this should become less of an issue.Thanks,Erich

I have noticed that. I also noticed that in such case if I get email notification about new thread or thread update I see following:
- when I click on thread link in email I'm asked to log again (session expired?)
- if I refresh (browser refresh) existing window with forum threads I get refreshed state and I can navigate without having to re-login (session not expired?)
