SMC

When setting up security for SMC does this security only affect the access to the SMC software or does it in any way affect the arrays? I.E. are the arrays changed in any way by setting up the SMC security?

AFAIK it does effect only your security on the array from SMC console.

Just to confirm, it only affects the access to the software and does not change anything on the array(s) them selves.
So it must store the account/pw info somewhere local with the software then.
Which I also assume means that if I install smc in on multiple hosts that I will have to duplicate all the security on each one as they won't be able to share the information.
