Latitude 5300 2in1 Driver Cab Package Sound not auto switching

As per the title found a weird issue where the sound card does not switch from headphone to internal speaker out of the box after deployment with MDT.

Have to install the Maxx Wave app from the microsoft store to enable the switching, am i missing something as you surely shouldnt need an application from the store to achieve this?
