Installing Dell Power Manager is an SCCM OSD Task Sequence

Been trying to get DPM installed as part of our OSD TS for the Dell Latitude 7300 laptops.

I got the UWP APPx files from Dell and that's installing fine (we're installing many UWP apps as part of our build so that process is working well for us).

You also have to have the DPM Service 3.6.0 installed as well.  We have it in the TS and it looks like it's installing as well.

However, when you run DPM you get a message that says that the service needs to be installed for DPM to work properly. I looked at the service and it's there but wasn't running, so I started the service and it's still giving me the same message.  Dell suggested extracting the .msi from the package and using MSIEXEC to install it in the TS.  Did that and the same result.  They also tell me that i need to set up DPM as it's own TS and drop it in a required collection for these machines.  We don't do that with SCCM as we're not set up for that.

Anyone else mess with this?

I am also running into the same issue that I want to install these apps in the OSD task sequence but having difficult time getting it to work properly.  I have a question though, how did you download the Appx files for the Dell Power Manager? I extracted the download from Dell and got .exe instead of Appx.

Thx
