XPS 8500, RAM installation not working
I own a dell xps 8500, which I got a fair few years ago now, but I have been slowly upgrading the RAM and graphics card as time has gone on. Today I wanted to install 4 hynix 8gb 2rx4 pc3 RAM sticks (HMT31GR7CFR3C-H9). When I installed them they did not seem to be detected, and the computer kept giving me 2 beeps when I turned it on. I reinstalled some of the old RAM and it worked fine. So, I was wondering if perhaps my computer is limited to the amount/type of RAM that can be installed ?

EPICBUNNYMAN ,
Below are the memory specs for the xps 8500.
Memory
XPS™ 8500 has 4x 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM Slots which support Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM up to 1600 MHz (System board supports 1600 and 1333 MHz Memory Modules).
The XPS™ 8500 supports up to a maximum of 32 GB system memory.
Supported memory configurations
XPS™ 8500 has four user-accessible DIMM sockets, all four slots can be accessed after removing the chassis cover. When all four DIMM connectors are populated, the system has optimum dual-channel performance unless channels 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 have different amounts of memory.
