Unable to find driver for ATI AMD Radeon HD 6450 1024MB 1GB ATI-102-C26405(B) Graphics Card Low Profile

I have a Dell 755 desktop Quad core running win 7 64 home premium.

I have tried all the drivers that i can find and think of none of them can install the driver.

The card only comes up as a standard VGA adapter.

I have tried to force install drivers and get the message driver does not support your version of windows, i even installed the 32 bit win 7 but still same thing.

Any suggestions before i dump the card?

Hi timboellis,

You may try using the AMD Driver Autodetect utility and find compatible drivers for this video card. Here is the link http://dell.to/13tnThP to download the utility.

AMD Radeon HD 6450 Graphics is not tested by Dell on this system and unfortunately we do not have the Windows 7 compatible driver available for this card on our support website.

Hope this helps. Please reply if you have any questions.

Did you buy this card on ebay?  It may be a bad card.  I would suggest one of these HERE.  I use the MSI in the Dell 745 and it works just fine with Windows 7 32-bit. I'm currently using driver version 12.8 directly from AMD's website which I prefer over the newest version 13.4.

Chipset Drivers are required BEFORE other drivers.  Newer ATI Drivers crash or do not install at all until Dotnet 1.0 2.0 3.0 3.5 4.0 is installed during 27,532 reboots and updates.:emotion-3:

Thanks for the responses but the AMD Driver Autodetect utility gives me an error also

I have ordered up a HD 7470 1GB to see if this works , then if not may be a faulty board, however that no big deal as it works on the VGA and I need to order another desktop anyway next week so I can swap the units over to prove it.

AMD Drivers want all the DOTNET's installed Before trying.

Windows 8 does not include .NET 3.5 (include .NET 2.0 and 3.0) by default. But if the user is upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8, .NET Framework 3.5 is fully enabled. The user can make sure this feature is enabled by check in Program and Features.

These is list of steps that the user can do to check it :

Step 1 :
Go to Settings. Choose Control Panel then choose Programs.

Step 2 :
Click Turn Windows features on or off, and the user will see window as image below.

The User can enable this feature by click on .NET Framework 3.5 (include .NET 2.0 and 3.0) select it and click OK. After this step, it will download the entire package from internet and install the .NET Framework 3.5 feature.

But if the user does not have an internet connection, this software can not be applied.

All the above only suggests if i am going to install via the automated software, it does not explain why it will not install even with the inf files.

Even if i try a force install it will not take it

NON WHQL Drivers will not install on 64 bit versions of windows.

F8 disable Driver enforcement.

1) Registry

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Driver Signing\BehaviorOnFailedVerify

Set as DWORD = 0

2) Command Prompt: Make sure you "Run as Administrator"

bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNINGON

This also allows Malware to install so at your own risk.
