Studio XPS 9100 PSU: "+12 Volt current rating of 24 Amps"?

I am awaiting delivery of a Studio XPS 9100 and have a question regarding the PSU. I bought an EVGA GTX460, which requires a 450W PSU; the 9100 has a 525W PSU.

However, I just saw this minimum system requirement for that card:

"Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 24 Amps."

Would anyone know whether the 9100 has this? I searched the service manual for the 9100 and Googled but came up dry. I don't even know what this means. :emotion-8:

that spec is related to the power supplied on the rails or voltage supply lines. With a 525w supply you will have more than enough power to run the card. The only place you will usually find this info is printed on the power supply itself.

Also remember that card manufacturers over state the power requirements for their cards.

Thanks, DaveT50. I was sure that I read somewhere that the GTX460 was fine with the 9100 (this was several weeks ago when I was working on this configuration), but I came across that spec yesterday and said 'uh-oh.'

Thanks for the reassurace.:emotion-11:
