Update file not in catalog for yx2x
Hi,
today I've noticed that for all of my yx2x systems firmware is not available. There is an info that update file not in catalog.
According to support matrix that hardware should be supported.
Last week everything was fine and I was able to update yx2x systems.
Do you know what is going on?
OMEnt version: 3.9.0 (Build 55)
thanks

Lukasz_Kukawski,
Upon researching the issue I was able to determine that during 2022, the majority of 12th generation platforms will be reaching the end of support life. December 2022, versions of Catalog/Linux Repository/SUU will be the last to contain PowerEdge 12G platform content.
As seen on the support page,
What is changing?
Catalogs
Remove after December 30th Catalog (22.12.30)
Catalog with last PowerEdge12G content will remain available.
So you can find the older catalogs with 12th Gen but all the newly published ones won't have 12th gen content.
Sorry for the delay, and let me know if this helps.

lukasz_kukawski,
It looks like you may be correct, as I am seeing the same. Let me look into the issue for you and see what I can find out.

Hey Chris,
do you know if (and how) can I point OMEnt to older catalogs? I've got couple of yx2x systems which require firmware update. I know that I can do it through SUU but OMEnt works better.
thanks

You would need to add the Update Mger plugin, then you can go here to locate the older catalogs.
Catalogindex.gz there also has where they are located, if you extract it.

Sorry to bump this up but this is exactly my problem. I want to complete this.
How do I locate the older catalog?
If I put address 'downloads.dell.com' and catalog file path /catalog/Catalogindex.gz
It gives me 'The XML Schema of specified file is not valid'
This folder is the latest, I would like to have Dec2022 version but I cannot see it here.

Hi Sam23000,
first you have to install Update Manager plugin.
Then go there and create repository for machines yx2x.
thanks

Hello Sam23000,
This Catalog December 30th (22.12.30) includes 12gen servers :
https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER09389969M/1/Catalog.cab
Any future catalogs will not contain PowerEdge 12G platform content.
I hope this helps.

Yes, I installed it and tried to create repository. But it ended with error I mentioned.
How can I select Dec2022 version of catalog?

@Dell -Charles R I'm searching for a catalog (December 19 or January 20) for Precision 7920 Rack model... Can you help me?
