Open Manage Enterprise - Power Manager

We've been using Dell OME with PowerManager for about a year since we bought a pair of MX 7000s installs.

I migrated from 3.9.10 to 4.1.0 a week ago. everything went smoothly, and everything appeared to be fine.

We keep losing the data for the power manager graphs on the home page. A restart of the OME appliance seems to reset it for a period of time.

I'm not seeing any security or other issues or alerts either in OME, OMM or on the various iDRACs.

I think it's OME related as a restart fixes it for a short period

Does anyone know of a permanent resolution to this?

We use the power manager graphs quite a bit to monitor and manage our power management.

Hello,

I haven't heard of any issue with the graph.

Have you tried:

*Clear browser cache

*Try a different browser

Thanks for the reply @DELL-Charles R

Maybe I wasn;t as clear as I could be. The graphs are displaying, but there is no collected data there. It's just a straight line. I did try different browsers.

The collection restarts, and actual data is shown when I restart the OME appliance VM. But only for a few hours before it stops again.

Hi, I just brainstroming, if there are network issues or interruptions between the OME appliance and the managed MX 7000s, it may result in data collection problems. In such cases, I would consider restarting the OME services and the Power Manager service. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve these issues.

Hi @DELL-Erman O

we don't have any network issues. The OME appliance sits on the hosts it's monitoring along with hundreds of other VMs, some of which are mission critical.

Restarting the OME does resolve the issue for a short period, but after a few hours it stops, and continually restarting isn't a sustainable solution.

With 3.9.10 and earlier, this was reliable and was just working for about a year without issue.

Nothing else in the environment has changed, just the OME migration to 4.1

I can't log an SR directly against OpenManage Enterprise. Would opening a case against one of the MX7000 chassis work?

Hello Gaz,

Could you try repost the image from your first post? It didn't come through.

Yes contacting Support directly on one of the MX7000 or any system you still have a warranty on that is managed by OME would be a good idea. The ask for the Systems Management department. They can do a remote session with you to get a look with you. The forum is not capable of that type engagement.
