Dell OME 3.9.0, Incorrect device name
Hi,
We have a few MX7000 connected to OME.
For some reason, one of the names shown in the inventory is the chassis's FQDN, and for the others, it's their management IP, which is awful for readability.
How can I change that?

You will be able to change the device name by going to OpenManage Enterprise > Application Settings > Console Preferences > Discovery Settings, from there you can change the settings for Server and General Device Naming. You can find this on the page here.

Hi,
Setting it to Instrumentation (NetBIOS) and iDRAC Hostname did the trick.
