How to view File Names & Dates instead of thumbnails

In Files View, how do I list the mobile's contents by File Name, Date, etc?

E.g., for photos, the list for any month may contain images from the camera, downloads, screen dumps, etc. It is really tedious to have to peer at each thumbnail to decide whether it is relevant to the task I'm doing. Photos may have been taken of the same location on a number of different days. I'd find it much easier to be able select only files from the camera's DCIM folder, or only those pictures taken between certain dates.
