New Features and Functionality v4.8

  • The Latitude 9420 is now supported by BIOS Events & Indicators of Attack.
  • The Trusted Device Event Repository now supports PBKDF2 password storage. You can manually configure the PBKDF2 element or build it using the appsettings generator utility. For more information, see the Dell Trusted Device Installation and Administrator Guide

Dell Security Management Server 11.5 Release

Version 11.5 of the Dell Security Management Server and Dell Security Management Server Virtual is now available from the Dell support site. Information about what is included can be found in each product’s technical advisories document.

Dell Security Management Server 11.5 Advisory

After release, an issue was discovered that prevents activations of the policy-based encryption client (Shield) through the Dell Security Management Server front-end proxy. A patch is available from Dell Data Security support to resolve this issue.

Secureworks® Taegis™ XDR 3.0.10

The new Taegis™ Endpoint Agent is now available. Existing customers will be upgraded on a rolling basis to account for service upgrade considerations that need to be addressed for successful migration. Look for a message in Taegis™ XDR in the Endpoints section with further details on how to request to upgrade to the new agent.

The new Taegis™ XDR Endpoint Agent:

  • Natively integrates and optimally operates with XDR to aide in the detection and response of real security threats
  • Is an always-connected agent, providing better visibility into online and agent health status
  • Provides enhanced telemetry collection by XDR with near-real-time alerting
  • Provides native support of Windows, macOS and Linux
  • Has an improved system impact with 50%+ less CPU overhead vs. Red Cloak™ Endpoint Agent
  • Ensures endpoints are always running the latest agent version through auto updates

Netskope Version 98.0.0

  • RBI Private Navigation Control
    • Netskope RBI introduces the new Private Navigation control, that allows or blocks the transportation of any cookies generated while browsing in isolation and storing them in your browsers. When private browsing is enabled, cookies do not leave the isolated environment.
  • NPA Private App Discovery
    • This feature allows you to easily discover the applications and create them as Private Apps.
  • Industry Benchmarks - Link
    • The Industry Benchmarks Dashboard is now available. You can access this feature from the Industry Benchmarks folder in Netskope Library. This also provides organizations with cross-tenant analysis and performance benchmarking based on the suite of Netskope products deployed.

Advanced Threat Prevention End of Maintenance

The Advanced Threat Prevention component of Dell's Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise has reached End of Maintenance.

What this means for Administrators:

  • Advanced Threat Prevention build 2.1.1585 is the final build available with Auto-Update.
  • Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise build 3.4.0 is the final release containing 2.1.1585.
  • Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise is supported through the life of current maintenance contracts.

Next Generation Anti-Virus provided by Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise will be superseded with VMware Carbon Black Cloud.
