Dell Security Management Server 10.2.14 Released

Dell Security Management Server 10.2.14 has been released and is available for download from the Dell support website. Information on how to download the latest version can be found in the How to Download Dell Security Management Server knowledge base article. The 10.2.14 release includes improvements and fixes to the Management Console.

Additionally, the operating system of the Dell Security Management Server Virtual has been upgraded to Ubuntu 18.04.

Dell Trusted Device 3.1 Released

DTD 3.1 was released in April.

Resolved Security Advisories v3.1

● The Trusted Device agent now uses improved methods to query the Windows Registry. [DPS-1573]

● The Security Risk Protection Score service is hardened. [DPS-2809]

Resolved Technical Advisories v3.1

● BIOS Verification logging is improved. [DPS-2141, DPS-2492, DPS-2847]

● All Trusted Device files are now properly removed during uninstallation. [DPS-2613

NetSkope Release 84

NetSkope Version 84 was released April 14 is now available. The new release includes 20 new features and five fixes.

Signing Certificate Update

Dell Encryption, Dell Trusted Device, Dell Security Management Server, and various Dell Encryption administrative utilities have an updated code-signing certificate to stay aligned with best practices for development.

This new certificate was issued January 21, 2021. The Thumbprint (SHA1 hash) for the certificate is 29fbbc20bdf0c85759a38cfa2ecfab1af68f6f0e.

VMware Carbon Black Cloud Version 3.6.0.2076

VMware Carbon Black Cloud has released version 3.6.0.2076.

VMware Carbon Black Cloud sensor 3.6.0.2076 contains several fixes that improve performance on Microsoft Windows client operating systems, as well as Microsoft Windows server operating systems.

Changes include:

  • Resolution of an issue resulting in reduced performance during network-based file transfers.
  • Resolution of an issue with high-frequency short-lived processes on an endpoint resulting in performance degradation over time.
  • Improved sensor performance during operating system boot.
  • Improved file-hashing performance during large file execution via network.
  • Resolution of an issue with a pop-up dialog that indicated that the “RepUX.exe” application encountered an error.
