Windows 10 1809 Support (October 2018 Update / Redstone 5)

 

Dell Data Security has limited support for Microsoft Windows 10 1809 (October 2018 Update/ Redstone 5). Dell is actively working with Microsoft and our vendors to provide support as quickly as possible.

Reference Dell Data Security Windows 10 Feature Update Compatibility for specific product support status on 1809.

macOS Mojave (10.14.2) Support

Dell Data Security now supports macOS Mojave 10.14.2 on:

Smart Card Reader Support Functionality

Dell Full Disk Encryption and Dell Self-Encrypting Drive Manager have been updated with supported Smart Card Readers. For more information, reference:  

Managed Reports for Dell Data Security

Beginning with Dell Data Security server v. 10.1, Managed Reports replaces Compliance Reporter. Compliance Reporter has been removed from the WebUI and the services are disabled by default.

Service Request Online (SRO) Tool


Do you prefer submitting tickets online rather than calling in?  You can open cases via the Service Request Online (SRO) tool! Navigate to https://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/, input your Service Tag, select the email option, fill in the Support Request form and submit it.  A DDS specialist will reach out shortly to assist. 

Note: To leverage the SRO, a valid Dell Data Security service tag is required. Currently, only Dell Data Security Volume License tags are supported.
