Dell 5580 SSD drive not recognized

I recently purchased this laptop.  I was not able to test it first.  When I try to boot it says there is not bootable drive.  I ran the diagnostics and it says there is no drive present.  I pulled the SSD drive and my desktop recognized it.  It has three partitions and all the windows files are there.  Is there anything short of replacing the motherboard that can be tried?
