A-Volute Sound Experts

I'm not sure if this is in the right location, but I have noticed that every time I open up my computer I get about 5 messages regarding whether or not I should allow A-Volute Sound Experts (Publisher A-Volute) make changes to my computer. This started happening after I updated my computer, and I do not know if I should trust this publisher. Ever since I started getting this I have also started to get blue screens every 30 minutes. Should I install it? I don't recall ever downloading any form of malware or going to any ip or cookie grabbing websites.

@Poity1  This forum is targeted towards the Dell Data Security product portfolio

Looking into your issue a bit, it appears that A-Volute 3D Sound Experts comes with Alienware laptops. Here are some other community pages I came across that talk about this:

https://www.dell.com/community/Alienware/A-Volute-3D-Sound-constantly-has-a-startup-UAC-warning/td-p/6154229

https://www.dell.com/community/Alienware/15-R3-KB4517211-breaks-Alienware-Sound-Center-A-Volute/m-p/7382276#M24251

Considering you are getting blue screens, I would suggest calling into Dell support to help troubleshoot those issues (if you have an active contract).

I hope this can get you steered towards the right direction. Let me know if you end up hitting any dead-ends.

Warning- do not let this install.

It crashed the sound on my Dell Gaming PC after an update.

I installed it thinking it was normal.

A few mins later and the bass boost was gone and now my speakers make a cracking sound.

I contacted Dell TS they said “there is no fix other than sending it to them to see if they can fix it””

Now it’s trying to install in my Alienware PC and it’s not gonna happen twice.

MS and Dell need to have a talk.
