Inspiron 3511, 2nd time WUR

This is the 2nd time I have applied for WUR.

Last year in September I purchased inspiron 3511. Not even a month passed it started giving couple of problems, the major issue was the hinge problem. I was not able to open the laptop, hence halted the major work and precious time. when i registered a complaint they agreed to replace the unit. just for the approval it took them 20 days. and just for WUR it took them more than 3 months. i received the new unit in month of march.it was the same unit as i have purchased originally. 

now everything was going well, which lasted for 4 months during which i was not even using it because of last year schedules, projects, placements, end sums etc..i realized that the battery lasts not more than 80-90 minutes (i calculated multiple times), the heat panel use to run at very high rpm, exhausting very high temperature, Bluetooth was not working, screen bezel was popped out to a visible range, couple of ports were not working, trackpad is not aligned properly, and many countless problems.

again i registered a complaint and after the same hectic questioning, performing many test, updating everything possible and this time they even took control of my laptop remotely and was unsuccessful in even discovering the problem.

after that they schedule an on site service. they replaced almost every part except display, hdd, sdd, touchpad.it took them 5 cycles to complete this. engineer came to my house 5times.

Not even a week passed, again popped multiple issues.

now this time the battery was new even then also the palmrest was visibly popping out due to battery issue, this time battery was lasting for merely 2HRS, which should last for 5 hours as DELL claims. suddenly battery indicator started giving strange light signals even after charging the battery. the type-C port is not working and i discovered this right after i used it for the first time right from the date of delivery.the touchpad is dented after the service, it is popped out in top right corner and dented in left down corner.screen bezel near camera is popped out to extent that i can press it little to none force. and the issue which didnt solve even after the service is the HEATING problem.

i have done possibly everything that was aked by the support staff. there came normal staff, moderator, wur team, escalation team, junior manager, senior manager, no one was able to solve the issue. 

THIS TIME after realising that issues cannot be solved after all these services, i aksed them for a system replacement again, they denied the request straight away. anyway they got conviced to get the WUR. this will be the third time i will be getting a unit. i asked them for a new model with better or equivalent specs.they told me to wait till the escalation team responds. it took them just to reply 3 days. asked me about the details for pickup and drop. and now a week have passed they are not responding. the support staff is replying with auto gernerated messges. even if they proceed with the replacement it will take another 2-3 months to deliver the unit. i dont want to get new units after every 5-6 months, i just want a unit that is of good and decent quality. i am investing too much energy here with dell, they ask me in the middle of night to update this update that and i have to do that, becuse if i dont do that they will not respond the next day.

i have posted previously also and was satisfied with the delivery but not with the unit, this model is wrong in so many ways and on so many levels. the design team was on something while designing this, paying almost 70K just for plastic body and for the exhaust which is facing directly towards the mid of display. a 0 quality product in a very true sence by dell. i have been using a dell desktop which i purchased in 2011 and is still working and intact. those were the days of solid bulit quality i guess.

 now on this post also moderators will reply and ask to mssge privatly and further will asked the same usual drill.. they will send some links to update drivers, will asked for boot menu info. 

i dont want to be associated with support staff any more its frustated on a very high scale, i have talked to the senior most staff for customer care but same situation.

think twice before purchasing this model and do read real reviews online before purchasing any dell laptop atleast and not the reviews they have made on online shopping websites such as amazon, flipkart.
