You can review the registration process at =
Ownership Transfer and Dell Product Registration Guides
In general, Dell products that are purchased directly from Dell are automatically registered.
For Dell products that are purchased from Amazon directly (Sold by Amazon), you should follow the Dell Product Registration process to register your product.
For Dell products that are purchased from third-party resellers on Amazon Marketplace (even if Fulfilled by Amazon) and eBay (or similar sites in your region), require transfer of ownership, as described in Ownership Transfer.

Why are you not telling people that this will force you to use Dell's support assistant exe, and it only works on computers. It can detect nothing from a monitor or keyboard. It will never let you register anything else.

In this day and age, customers demand convenience from modern technology and nobody want to fill out paper registration form and mail it in. Businesses such as Dell, HP, Apple, etc., are gearing toward of putting everything online for customers conveniences.
Although DELL-Cares already assisted OP, I thought to post the registration process for others to see as it may help someone with the same question. People has been using computer to place order on Amazon, eBay, Facebook marketplace. They wouldn't have a problem with using computer for an online registration. Your comment did not answer OP's question and posting a complaining instead. It's very unhelpful.
