Device Exchange Policy
Hello,
I have an Alienware M17 R5 AMD that has been giving me constant problems since September. It has now undergone 4 separate hardware exchanges, with 3 of those repairs happening within 60 days. It is still in warranty.
The tech told me that 3 repairs within 60 days merits a device exchange. I have not been able to find documentation in Dell policies on this matter to confirm this. Is there such a standing policy for exchanging a clearly defective devices such as this?

There's no documentation, since it's done on a case by case basis. Generally, three failed repairs for the same issue will result in a replacement (refurbished) system if you ask -- you need to call Dell support to start the process.
