What's the worth that could happen with this config ?
other than the obvious SPOF of 9134, what could happen on 9134 that would in any form affect 9513s. In case you ask, No ..we can't buy another 9134 anytime soon.
Thanks

Hi,
I am failing to understand what is the need of single 9134 ? can you not connect the Tape unit to 9513 directly and remove SPOF ??

Hi Dynamox,
Apart from the SPOF and the issues related to it, I cant think of anything else which can go wrong with this setup.
The 9134 is fully compatible with 9513 and other Cisco Director class switches. Well, the only other thing, I can think of now, is to check if the SAN-OS Software is Release 3.2(1) or later / NX-OS Software is Release 4.1(1) or later, which I am sure you must have checked already
Cheers,
Ali

i had an opportunity to test this config in labgear Cisco PODs, and after seeing what happened i decided not to do it. Basically by connecting one switch to two different fabrics, it merged my fabrics in Fabric Manager, not good and confusing like heck.
